Mr. Othar Larry Sloan Sr. age 54, of West Main St. Mt. Vernon died Monday May 19, 2003 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1948 in Mt. Vernon the son of the late Jack and Juanita Harper Sloan Sr. He was former truck driver for Riggs Trucking Company in Toledo, Oh., a veteran of the Vietnam War, he enjoyed fishing & crafts, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors are: his former wife & friend; Mrs. Jalena Hargis Sloan of Bethel, Oh. Two sons; Larry Sloan Jr. of Morrow, Oh., and Joe Sloan of Bethel, Oh. Two daughters; Mrs. Malena Cox, and husband Lindsey of Mt. Orab, Oh, and Miss Angelea Sloan of Bethel, Oh. One brother; Jack Sloan Jr. of Hamilton, Oh. Two sisters; Mrs. Diana Payne, and Mrs. Valencia Gray both of Hamilton, Oh. Ten grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by: two grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Carol Sloan, one nephew; James Payne, and by several aunts & uncles. | |
