Mr. Robert Lee Slusher, age 79 of Livingston, died Sunday, Oct. 19 at
his home. He was born in Harlan Co., KY on Feb. 15, 1924 the son of Floyd
and Margaret Ferrel Slusher. He was a coal miner and farmer and was a
member of the Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Callie Slusher; six sons, Robert Lee
Slusher, Jr. of Closplint, KY, Arnold Ray Slusher (Jean) and Ernest
Slusher, both of Hyden, KY, Roy Gene Slusher (Brenda) of London, KY, and
Dewayne Slusher (Tammy) and Jerry Lee Slusher (Virginia), both of
Livingston; five daughters, Christine Kelly and Geneva Kelly (Doyle), both
of Closplint, KY, Glenda Jean Slusher and Norma Jean Morris (Michael),
both of Livingston, and Carolyn Mae Carpenter (Albert Wayne) of Lamero;
and one brother, J.C. Collett of Blackmont, KY. Also surviving are 34
grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great
grandchildren; and special friends, J.C. Whitt of Livingston, and Amanda
Clark of Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Allie Fry
Slusher; his parents, Floyd and Margaret Slusher; his stepfather, Elsie
Collett; seven brothers, Will, Saul, Henry, Johnny, J. C., J. T., and
Gilbert; and four sisters, Pearl, Della, Dora, and Nettie. |
