Mr. Kenneth Sowder age 74, of Rt.#4 Mt. Vernon died Thursday September 18, 2003 at the Veterans Hospital in Lexington. He was born on December 19, 1928 in Mt. Vernon the son of the late William “Booty” and Rosa Herril Sowder. He was a retired Carpenter for the Richmond Bluegrass Army Depot, enjoyed trading, fishing, hunting, and attended the Blue Springs Church of Christ.
Survivors are: his wife; Mrs. Mossie Jane Issacs Sowder of Rt.#4 Mt. Vernon. Three sons; Kenneth Sowder Jr., and wife Kathy of Richmond, Ky., Daniel Sowder, and wife Crystal of Orlando, Ky, and Preston Sowder, and wife Sandy of Berea. One daughter; Mrs. Deborah Richardson, and husband Geral of Richmond. One brother; Roscoe Sowder of Springboro, Oh. One sister; Mrs. Nannie Thomas of Brodhead. Eight grandchildren; Janie Ann Willis, Richard Sowder, Danielle Barron, Joshua Sowder, Courtney Sowder, Paul C. Richardson, Janel Richardson, and Rodney Richardson. Two great grandchildren; Austin Richardson, and Jasmine Barron. He was preceded in death by; five brothers; Chester, Shirley, Bill “Slick”, Casper, and LeRoy. and by three sisters; Sybil, Lela Mae, and Dovie. |
