Mr. James Clyde Thompson age 85 of Crab Orchard died Wednesday December
3, 2003 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born on September 29, 1918 in
Rockcastle County the son of the late Charles and Jennie Cummins Thompson. He was a retired
gauge checker for General Electric Company, avid U. K. Wildcat & Cincinnati Reds
Fan, and was a member of the Providence Church of Christ.
Survivors are: one son; Jemes E. Thompson of Cincinnati, Oh. Two
daughters; Mrs. Janet Blevins of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Mrs. Mary Borman of
Cincinnati, Oh. Eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great, great
grandchild also survive. He was preceded in death by: his wife; Jewell Mae Thompson, by one
brother; Gleman Thompson, and by three sisters; Gladys Thompson, and Geneva, and
Minervia Gentry.
