Coolie Wells,
70, of Brodhead died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the Lake Cumberland
Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was born February 23, 1934 in Letcher
County, the son of Arthur and Polly Cornett Wells. He was a veteran of
the Korean War, a retired carpenter and a member of Kings Tabernacle in
Richmond.
Survivors are
two sons, Coolie Eugene Wells and John Wells both of Greenfield, IN; one
daughter, Judy Engleking of Greenfield, IN; two step daughters, Leigh
Ann Zaring Ledford of Mt. Vernon and Alice Ledford of Dublin, VA; two
brothers, Leroy Wells of Waynesburg and Bobby Wells of Oxford, OH; two
sisters, Iva Cheatem and Lavina Hamm, both of Waynesburg; nine
grandchildren; one step grandchild and three step great grandchildren.
Besides his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Parker Ledford
Wells; four brothers, Neldon, Luther, Johnny and Billy James Wells and
by one sister, Helena Creech.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, August 24 at the Livingston Pentecostal
Church with Bro. Greg King officiating. Interment was in Camp Nelson
National Cemetery.
Pallbearers
were: Jimmy Wells, Tim Gambrel, David Gambrel, Keith Reichenbach, Jeff
Zaring and Scotty Bryant.
