Bernice Williams
Mrs. Bernice Williams, 81 of Brodhead died Monday, September 15, 2003 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born October 12, 1921 in Rockcastle County, the daughter of James and Mealey Brock Smith. She was a former nurse's aid at Sowder Nursing Home, enjoyed floral arranging and gardening and was a member of Ottawa Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sons: Leroy Williams of Brodhead, Dale Williams of Windsor and Tim Williams of Lancaster; four daughters, Mrs. Donna Moberly of Brodhead; Mrs. Ghonna Moberly of Lancaster, Mrs. Joyce McGuire of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Joan Elliott of Norwood, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Hoskins of Brodhead and Mrs. Evelyn Powers of Crab Orchard; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Williams; one daughter, Doris Jean Williams; one granddaughter, Deloris Brummett and by one great grandson, Jackson Brummett.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the Ottawa Baptist Church with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Ottawa Cemetery.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
