Amos Banister, 81, of Princeton Road, Cadiz, died Sunday, March 14,1999,
at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
A farmer and carpenter and member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, he
was born Sept. 26, 1917 a son of the late John Wesley and Bertha Louis Sanders
Banister.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Earhart and Martha Hall.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mamie Faughn Banister; two sons and
daughters-in-law, William Amos and Shirley Banister and Larry Wayne and Judy
Banister of Princeton; a daughter, Rita Faye Banister of Hopkinsville; four
grandchildren, William Craig Banister, Laura Beth Banister, Wesley Shane
Banister, and Brandi Mischele Banister; four great-grandchildren, Casey Banister,
Patsy Banister, Katie Parrish and Kyla Parrish; a step-great-grandson, Devon
Oliver, and a brother James Albert Banister of Wichita, Kan.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 17, at Goodwin Funeral
Home in Cadiz with Rev. Jerry Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky.
