Funeral services for Michael Dean Lane, 55, of Cadiz, were conducted on Tuesday,
August 1, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Rev. James Shuck officiated at the services. Burial followed in Siloam Cemetery
in Trigg County.
Mr. Lane died on Saturday, July 29, 2006, at 2 a.m., at his residence of
an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Lane was born on November 17, 1950, in Trigg County. He was the son of
Lola Bush Lane of Cadiz, and the late Frank S. Lane, Sr.
Mr. Lane was retired from Vulcan Materials Co., in Lake City; was a member
of Cadiz Masonic Lodge No. 121; and he attended Siloam United Methodist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank
Lane, Jr. and Gary Lane.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, is a son and daughter-in-law, Mike
and Angela Lane of Cadiz; a brother, Tony Lane of Cadiz; a sister and brother-in-law,
Anna and Donnie Allen of Cadiz; and three grandchildren, Michael Justin Lane,
William Zachary Lane, and Dylan Curtis Lane.
Serving as pallbearers were James Adams, Jr., Dilman Anderson, Larry Lawrence,
Malcolm Lane, Kenny Allen, and Matt Lane.
Lou Cain, pianist, provided the music.
