The Haden Family

Mrs. Esther Maiia, of San Luis
Obispo, California, has written to me asking for any help I can give her on tracing her family.
My own records did not produce much that would be of help to her, so I thought that some readers of this column might be able to.
Mrs. Mazza wrote, "I would like to know If Silas Haden Sr., born 1812, In
Virginia, was burled in Trigg County. I
was always told he was at the Primitive Baptist (apparently Cumberland Church) Cemetery, now under the lake.
"My father was born and grew up at Golden Pond. Also my grandfather and grandmother. Do you know anyone working on the Crass line? or any of the others listed - Craig, Griffin, Lancaster, Bogard?"
Below Is a run-down of the family tree Mrs. Mazza enclosed. If anyone would like to correspond with her and perhaps piece together some of the missing Information, her address Is Mrs. Esther Mazza, 344 Henderson Street, San Luis Obispo, CalIfornia 93401.
She was Esther Ellen Haden, born August 25, 1923, In Campbell County, Wyoming. Parents were Silas Haden, born October 10, 1889, Trigg County, Kentucky; dIed August 15, 1969 in Campbell County, Wyoming; and Dora Ellen Barkley, born September 29, 1896 in Edgar County, Illinois.

MarrIed January 8, 1889 to Julia Elnora
Crass, born 1870 In Trlgg County, died
1962 In Campbell County, Wyoming.
John Madison Haden's parents were Silas Haden, born 1812 in Campbell County, Virginia; died January 1,1862, in Trigg County, Ky. Married Louisa Ann Lancaster August 13, 1843; she was born August 7, 1825 and died August 26, 1869 In Trlgg County.
Silas Haden's parents were John and Rachel Reynolds Haden, no dates.
Louisa Lancaster Haden's parents were Wiley Lancaster, born Nov. 11, 1807, died August 16, 1863 In Trlgg County. He married Nancy Craig October 24, 1824; she was born In 1806 and dIed August 16, 1869, In Trlgg County.
Julia Crass' parents were William
Thomas Crass, born 1841 In Henry
County, Tennessee and died In Trlgg
County, date unknown
. He married Hester Ann Bogard February 7, 1863.
She was born June 25, 1848 and died
March 21, 1905, in Trlgg County.
Hester's parents were Charles Columbus Bogard, born Jan. 29, 1814 In
Stewart County, Tennessee and died
August 16, 1854 In Trigg County.
He
married Elitha Griffin, born February
Z7, 1819 in Northampton County, North
Carolina and died April 8, 1890 In Trlgg
County. They are buried in the Bogard
Cemetery, Trlgg County.
William
Thomas Crass's parents are unknown. C.C. Bogard's parents were Charles
Bogard (died 1836 in Stewart County, Tennessee) and Mary Jane Chism, birth and death dates unknown. This Is as far as she has been able to go with the Bogard family.
Wiley Lancaster's parents were Levi,
born September 28, 1774 In North Carolina, dIed January 21, 1844, in Trigg County; and Faithy Futreil, born March 24, 1780 in Northampton County, North Carolina, and died 1872 in Trlgg County. They married October 3, 1799 in Northampton County, N. C. Mrs. Mazza has not been able to trace Levi Lancaster any further back.
Faithy Futrell's parents were
Thomas Futreil, born 1745 In North Carolina, died 1799 there. He married Sara Bittle, born 1745 In North Carolina and died December 18, 1817 in Christian County (now Trigg), Kentucky. Thomas Futrell's father was John Futrell, born 1715 in Surrey County, Virginia, married Martha (last name unknown) in 1735, and died In 1788.
Thomas's father was Thomas Futrell
also, born 1670 in Surrey County Virginia his father was also Thomas, and he died In 1693 in Surrey County, Virginia.
On the Haden line, John was the son of
Anthony and Drucifla Roundfree
Haden. Rachel Reynolds' father was
Isaac Reynolds. There are also
Moseleys and Douglases tied Into the
Haden line.
