HAYDEN, Carrie Lee, 77, d. 10 May 1953, New Orleans, burial there. A native of Trimble Co. she taught in elementary and high schools in Kentucky. She had been a teacher at Spencer since 1924. Survived by husband, C. C. HAYDEN of New Orleans, 1 son, Carroll Hayden, Jr., brothers, J. Arthur and Ivy D. Mitchell.

HENDERSON, Bertha, 66, died 4 Aug 1953, burial Pleasureville Cem. b. 24/26 Oct 1886, d/o late W. E. Washburn and Mrs. Eliza Jane Washburn of Lexington, KY, m. 31 Jan 1912 to GUY HENDERSON who died in 1929, 2 children, Genevieve who died at age 18 and N. W. Henderson who survived 2 sis., Mrs. Clements and Mrs. Reva Parsons. Preceded by a sister Mrs. Pearl Roberts. For 22 years, Mrs. Henderson served as matron of the Kentucky Children's Home at Lyndon, KY.

RICHARD HUNTER, he died 1943, 7 ch. living, Richard and Raymond Hunter, Mrs. Pearl Patterson, Mrs. Janet Lloyd, Mrs. Clara Armour, Mrs. Zoe Zook and Mrs. Betty Bush. HOLSCLAW, David Giltner,near 95, d. 16 Dec 1951, burial Holsclaw Cem. Burial in a remote family burial plot near headwaters of Canip, one of 11 ch. born to Alexander and Eliza Jane Foster Holsclaw. b. 23 Jan 1857, Trimble Co. "Uncle Dave" spent nearly all his life on a small farm on Canip. m. 1922 to NORA JACKSON who surv. No ch. Note: Burial records gives age as 93, b. 23 Jan 1857.

HOLSCLAW, Florence Wood, 80, d. 9 Nov 1956, Campbellsburg, burial Cicero Indiana. Native of Trimble Co.(d/o James Butler Wood,) widow of BARNEY G. HOLSCLAW who died 9 yrs ago. Survived by 5 ch., Alvin and Jack Holsclaw, Mrs. Merle Staten, Mrs. Oscar Hardesty and Mrs. Leslie Bird, 3 sis. Mrs. Dora Holsclaw, Mrs. Ercell Averitt and Mrs. Ella Bradley. 2 sons preceded her, Herman and James Holsclaw.

HUDSON, James W., 91, died 26 Nov 1958, burial Moffett Cem. b. 9 Oct 1867, s/o Abner W. and Isabell Giddens Hudson.) Survived by wife MARY CHANDLER HUDSON, a dau. Mrs. Bessie Butler, a bro. R. M. Hudson, a sis. Mrs. Lula Voiers. James grandfather Allen Hudson, was pastor of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, he was also credited as the builder of the church.

HUDSON, Mary Frances, 94, died 20 May 1959, burial Moffett Cem. (b. 15 Feb 1864,) d/o Daniel T. and Edna Kennedy Chandler. She was a life resident of Trimble Co. widow of JAMES W. HUDSON. Survived by dau., Mrs. Bessie Butler.

HUGHES, Minnie Rand, 73, died 1 Dec 1950, burial IOOF Bedford. b. Trimble Co. 30 Dec 1876, d/o late William and Indiana (Weatherby) Rand. Minnie was reared in the Mt. Tabor com., being the eighth in a family of 13 ch. all who lived to be grown. m. Apr 1899 to JAMES ALLEN HUGHES who survives 2 sons, Lawrence L. and Shelby R. Hughes, 2 sis., Miss Nettie Rand and Mrs. Mabel Lahar, 1 bro. C. V. Rand. She was preceded by 2 ch., Elmo at age 2 yrs and Reva Mae who died in infancy, bro., James "Mack," Eddie Forrest, Dr. B. O. Rand, Mrs. Junie Benefield, Mrs. Nannie Carlisle, Mrs. Margie Bird, Miss Flora Belle, Miss Hosea and Miss Sadie Rand. Note: See children listed in Nettie Rand obituary 14 Jan 1955.

He lived in the same place all his life in the New Hope com., never married. Sis. were, Mrs. Ella N. Peak, died 3 Nov 1957 and Mrs. Tommie Chandler who died 5 Feb 1954.

JACKSON, Arthur, 74, died 7 Jul 1958, burial Mt. Tabor Cem. b. Trimble Co. a resident of Union Grove com. Preceded by a sis. Mrs. Minnie McClure. Mr. Jackson was the first person to be buried at Mt. Tabor in the past 16 years.

Shortly after their marriage, moved to Hanover, IN. Survived by 2 dau. Mrs. Mary Judkins and Mrs. Thelma Lester, 2 bro. A. F. and W. T. Willis. 2 ch. died in infancy.

He lived in New Hope com. most of his life, s/o James Duncan and Mary Elizabeth Young Jackson, 1 of 9 ch. all preceded him. m. 2 Dec 1911 to CORDIE VARBLE, 5 ch. all surv., Owen, Emmett, Graham, Aubrey, Mary Stockdale and Lavenia Thomas.
