I Charles Taliaferro Thornton of the Town of Paris, being of Sound
mind and memory, do Constitute make and Ordain this my
last will and Testament, hereby revoking all other here
before made.
Impart My Will and desire is that my houses and Lot in
the said Town be sold by my Executors or administra=
tor on such terms as he or them shall think proper
either by private sale or the highest bidder, also that
my Executor or administrator, shall sell my medical shop
in the same manner, and from the sales of the same to
pay my just debts and if any surpluss remains after that
to pay and descend as my other Estate hereafter directed
Item my will and desires is that all my lands on the
North fork of Licking and County of Bracken, which
was given to me by my Father Be a bid sold by my said
Executor or Administrator in the same manner as my
houses and lot and, Medical shop, and the sales to
be applied in the same way, and, I authorize and em=
power my said Executor or Administrator to make execute
good, sufficient and lawful deeds, other special or general
as he or they shall think fit and such deeds or deeds
I hereby declare to be as good in law as if I had done
the same myself in person , as will for the houses and lot
in the said Town, as for the said land
Item. I lend to my beloved wife Ann Walker after my
just debts one paid my whole Estate during the term she
remains my Widow.
Item, After the marriage or death of my said wife my will
and desire is that my estate of every description be equally
divided between my children, the child my wife is now
carry, if it should live to share equal with my other
children. Lastly I appoint my friend Anthony Thornton Jr
my Brother, and Walker Buckner my brother in law Exec
utors of this my Last Will In Testimony whereof I hereun
to set my hand and affix my seal this 12th day of

the Estate of Charles T. Thornton deceased by order
of the worshipful county Court of Bourbon do return
the foregoing as the appraisement of the Estate which
have come to our knowledge. Given under our hands this
7th day of September 1812.
