Coleman to Coleman

Deed made and entered into this 22nd day
of August, 1879 between first
party, Joseph Coleman of Trimble
County and W. C. Coleman of Carroll County of the second part. For the sum
of one dollar receipt acknowledged and the further consideration of the love and
affection he bears to the party of the second
part, he gives granted and bargained and sold by these present does grant
bargain , sell and convey unto the said W. C. Coleman
a tract or parcel of land lying in Carroll County, it being a part of the
same on which the said W. C. Coleman now resides and a portion of the same which
was allotted to Joseph Coleman in the division of Stephen Coleman and the heirs
of John F. Coleman decd. and the said Joseph Coleman. Bounded as
described as follows, corners to heirs of T.D. Evans to B.T. Robertson to a
stake in a pond in line of John S. Jenkins,
100 and 1/2 acre. Reserving
to the said Joseph Coleman and of said division 100 acres.

April, 1894, 64 acres bordering the land of Joseph Coleman
deceased on the Waters of
Mill Creek, corners to Evans
land, four acres of land claimed by Zack Gregory. Land to be paid for in 3 payments of Two
hundred dollars each. Note: The land owned by Jesse Smith was part of
the one hundred and one acres deeded to W. C. Coleman by Joseph Coleman.
The 1883-4 Atlas shows it as Coleman Springs, the old Spring was still
being used by the grand daughter of Jesse Smith as late as the 1970’s.

25TH OF OCTOBER, 1856 BETWEEN ROBERT MOORE AND JEMIMIA MOORE
HIS WIFE OF THE FIRST PART AND ANDERSON ADCOCK OF THE SECOND PART, ALL OF
CARROLL COUNTY, KENTUCKY. WITNESSETH,
THAT SAID MOORE AND WIFE FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED AND
FIFTY DOLLARS IN HAND PAID THE RECEIPT OF WHICH IS HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGED, HAVE
BARGAINED, SOLD, CONVEYED AND DELIVERED SAID ADCOCK THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED
TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND IN CARROLL COUNTY ON THE WATERS OF MILL CREEK AND
DESCRIBED THUSLY. BEGINNING AT TWO
CHINQUIPIN TREES IN A LINE OF LAND CONVEYED BY WM EGNOR TO STEPHEN COLEMAN,
THENCE S 60 DEGREES, 680 POLES TO TWO SUGAR TREES AND ASH, CORNER TO THE LAND
CONVEYED BY SAID EGNOR TO SAID COLEMAN STANDING ON A BRANCH THENCE UP SAID
BRANCH WITH ANOTHER TREE IN SAID DEED TO THE MOUTH OF THE FIRST SPRING BRANCH ON
THE WEST SIDE, THENCE UP SAID SPRING BRANCH TO ANOTHER LINE OF LAND CONVEYED AS
AFORESAID FROM SAID EGNOR TO COLEMAN AND WITH SAID LAST MENTIONED LINE TO THE
PLACE OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING THIRTY ACRES MORE OR LESS WITH THE APPURTENANCES
TO HAVE AND HOLD AND SAID TRACT OF LAND AND APPURTENANCES UNTO SAID ADCOCK, HIS
HEIRS AND FOREVER. AND SAID MOORE
COVENANTS WITH SAID ADCOCK TO WARRANT THE PROPERTY HERBY CONVEYED. IN TESTIMONY WHERE OF

This Indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of January 1880 between Marion Montgomery the party of the first part and William Strickland of the second. Just all Carroll county Kentucky, wireper that the party of the first part for and in consideration of three o ecen date herewith extended by this said William Strickland be said Marion Montgomery on foe three hundred and fifty dollars which entered from March 1 1880 at the rate of eight per cent per annum's payable asperity on the 1st of March 1881 and 1st of March 1882 to serve the payment of said notes as being in herby enchained on the land hereafter conveyed, do hereby sell grand and moved to said William Strickland her heirs and assigns all his original titles and interest in following describe property, a certain tract of land in and Medermly Kentucky being the land allotted and sill between Servis Mongtomery foas MM Smith and Senard Search are learn if application the Warrall heir in the land of the late John Montgomery deceased, said land is bounded as follows; beginning shich on the flat in s and division of said decents land comver to sot w126 poles to d corner to lat no 2 in 2 homes whicline line thence whivlsnf hid linrd 5561/4 abd w19 9/10 to poles to a breckend and surgar treethence s54w47 4/10 poles to a stone at 3 tence s29 3/4c883/10 poles to an oak and two brick fences s24e31 1/10 poles to bern said plat and corner to sob 1 lines n 63 3/4 E86 poles to the beginning and 58 1/4 acres to have and to hold In service to William Strickland with amound of herebard Warenty in Tericky where the party of the first part has signed his name.
