I'm researching the surname of BLACK. Specifically William Sargent BLACK, B:1820 Married to Margaret HOWARD, B:1823. Siblings include Susan A. B:1844; Mary J. B:1844; Nancy D. B:1849; Lucy, B:1853; Mitchel C., B:1855; Lucinda, B:1858. William Sargent BLACK, was first located in the 1850 Census of Morgan County as W.L. The relationship of these two men are most important to my research. Anyone having information on this subject, or their ancestors would be most appreciated. John A. BLACK has been traced to his death in 1899, but nothing

I am looking for Sylvester CRISP (born 1834), who married Lovica (Queenie) WHITT (born 1838), in Sandy Hook on March 30, 1854. Sandy Hook is part of Elliott County, but Elliott County wasn't formed until 1869. I'm told that marriage licenses for Elliott County prior to 1934 were destroyed in a fire in 1956. What county was Sandy Hook part of in 1854? How can I get an 1854 Sandy Hook marriage license? Does anyone have any information about Sylvester CRISP? I'd appreciate any tidbits of information. Thanks!
