John Thomas Carter and Family

I am researching the John Thomas Carter family, his wife Mary Falcon Carter is buried in Hancock County, KY, in Sand Hill Cemetery, her date of death was 1901, there is supposed to be only 1 Catholic Church near this grave site. Mary Carter was originally from Louisiana. She and her husband John Thomas moved to KY, he was said to be a blacksmith, and had a brother that may have worked for the Pinkertons,(some railroad sec.) also John T. Carter was known to have a stage act (puppetteer) he and his children played a musical of some sorts, he played a violin. His mother's first name may have been Catherine ? He returned to Charenton, LA after the death of his wife, Mary. His three surviving children,(now deceased) 1 inf. died, and John Milton Carter and 2 sisters, Della Iris Carter, and Translvania Carter returned to LA with their Dad. The two older girls were said to have gone to school in that area near where their mom died. Thanks for any help.
