The following story sounds like something from Alfred Hitchcock, and the date could not be established. However, it is an authentic happening, which occurred at Roseville, and is still the subject of conversation, on occasion in that community.

After a heated argument over a plant bed. Tom Tierney drew a knife and stabbed Ira Huff to death. He stabbed so hard the knife went into Huff and on down into Tierney’s own leg, severing some arteries, and both men died. This happened on the store porch in Roseville.
