|Elijah Barton Faull|
Born 13 Sept 1886 in St. Charles, Hopkins Co, KY, son of George Henry and Elizabeth Ann (Roberts) Faull of St. Charles. He is the one sitting on the rail with his hands around his knees. I am unable to identify any of the other men. Can anyone help identify them?
|Elijah Barton Faull died on 12 June 1927 "by accidently drowning in New Lake near Earlington while fishing" per the death certificate signed by J. R. Howell, Coroner, Madisonville. A newspaper article in the Madisonville Messenger stated that he had drowned in the lake at Earlington where he had gone fishing on a Saturday afternoon. Since he often camped out all night at the lake, his mother did not worry when he did not return that night. On Sunday, when he didn't return, she became worried and notified the authorities. He was found floating in the lake. The theory was that he had stepped into a hole. No one knows for sure what happened. The informant on the death certificate was his brother, Will Faull, of Dawson Springs.|
