David Samuel Todd and his daughter Mattie (Todd) Cranor. David Samuel Todd was born 8 Sept 1850 in St. Charles, Hopkins Co., the son of William M. and Evaline (Fox) Todd of Hopkins County. On 27 July 1871 in Hopkins County, he married Susan Cornelia Sisk, daughter of Dorinda Adelaide (Sisk) Todd. Susan always went by Todd, although she was born before the marriage of Dorinda A. Sisk to Lysander G. "San" Todd. Her death certificate listed Lysander as her father and Lysander's estate also included her as an heir in his estate. However, her marriage license lists her as "Susan C. Sisk". David Samuel Todd died on 13 Nov 1926 at home of "pneumonia" in St. Charles. He is buried at Suthard's Cemetery (then known as Gordon Cemetery), Hopkins County. This photo also includes David S. Todd's daughter, Mattie (Todd) Cranor, born Martha E. Todd on 29 may 1879 in St. Charles. She married 1 Aug 1900 Moses Taylor Cranor at the home of T. H. Smith (Thomas H. Smith who also married them) in St. Charles, Hopkins County. Taylor Cranor was an active citizen of St. Charles and their daughter, Leota (Cranor) Denton later was Post Mistress of St. Charles.
