Seek info on my grandfather, John Lester MONTGOMERY, b. ( I assume in KY) ca. 1889. He lived and worked in a distillery around Clarimont KY just prior to 1914 and then lived in Sheppardsville at the time my mother was born to Sarah Elizabeth French Montgomery and her husband, July 1914. At some point they moved to Louisville and my grandfather was found shot to death Oct 1933. The death certificate says "body removed to Clairmont, KY", I found no obit and can not locate the grave. I searched 2 or 3X the only public cemeteries located in that town--no stone & no records. I have reason to believe his father was James Montgomery and have NO other information on James. I know Lester (as My mother referred to her father) lived in Jefferson Co., in 1910 and the census states he lived with Harrett 69 yr old illerate female. Could have been either g.mother or mother.Census lists him as being a widower.

Seek info about Macklin M. BIRD b. 18 Mar 1822 in Green Co., KY, md Sarah Ann SKAGGS 11 May 1845 in Green Co. KY. In 1840 he was boarding in Taylor/Green Co, KY with Henry SIMPSON. 1850 census living in the Levelwood Community LaRue Co, KY. Macklin was a Methodist. A John J. BIRD and Mary ADDECOT founded the Levelwood Methodist Church. By 1861, Macklin left KY and moved to MICHIGAN. After Macklin BIRD left LARUE CO, KY, the BIRDS changed their names to BAIRDS and then to BEARDS. Macklin BIRD d. in Hood Co., TX on 08 Aug 1902.

Seek info on William BURNS md. 9 Jun 1885 to Nancy Florence ?WILLIAM b. 16 Apr 1866. Lived in and around the counties of Grayson, Hart,Edmonson, Hardin, & Green. He was the son of William BURNS and Nancy HARP. He had a brother Isaac Judson BURNS. William BURNS lived in the Upton area until his death 26 Oct 1946. He was buried in Bonnieville just north of Munfordville.The family of Isaac Judson BURNS is having a reunion 30 Aug 1997 in Grayson Co KY. We are wanting to reunite the two families.
