This indenture made and entered into this
day, between A. Meuller of the first part and Wm. F. Norton, D. Turner
and L.W.Flournay of the second part, witness that the said, A. Meuller
for the consideration of one dollar to him in hand paid, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged hereto this day, granted, bargained and sold
and doth by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the parties of
the second part a certain track of land containing about two hundred acres,
being the same deeded to the said A.Meuller by James B. Husbands. Said
land lying and being in McCracken County State of Kentucky. Also all of
the farming utensils owned by said A. Meuller also four mules, and two
horses, also my work and stock cattle, hogs, and wagons. Also all the household,
and kitchen furniture, to have and to hold the aforsaid described tract
of land forever. As well as all of the above described property. This deed
or grant is intended to secure the parties of the second part in the payment
of the balance due of them on a lease executed by them to A. Meuller, which
notes or balance when said and when paid will render this deed null and
void otherwise to remain in full affect or force this March 29, 1852.

I, Branton Small, Clerk of the County Court,
for the County aforsaid do certify this deed and mortgage from A. Meuller
to Will F. Norton, Lewis ? W. Flournay was this day on the 29th day of
March 1852, Acknowledged before me in my office by the said A. Meuller
to be his will and deed and immediately
placed on the index ? as the law directs
where upon I have admitted the same together with this certificate to record
in my office this 22nd day of March 1852.
