Article includes a transcription of entry written by Henry Rhoads Jr., stating that on April 19, 1795, he and Elizabetha, his beloved companion, had been married for 34 years and 6 months. The entry seems to say that they were married on the banks of the Green River in Logan County, Kentucky. In 1795, they had 3 sons and 3 daughters married and 20 grandchildren.

The transcription then states that Rhoads' wife, Elizabethea, died on October 2, 1807, and that he had married again on February 9, 1808.

The father of the above Henry Rhoads Jr. was Henry Rhoads Sr. who settled in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Rhoads Sr. was granted land by John Penn in 1773. Rhoads Jr. married Elizabeth Stoner in Maryland about 1760. Rhoads Jr. was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. The Daughters of the American Revolution Patriot Index states that he died May 6, 1814 and that his second wife was Barbara Lauriman.
