Prowse, Jesse Murphy, Jacob Oglesby, Richard Thompson and others5. Jacob Imbler who lived west of Greenville raised over 2000 pounds of tobacco to the acre. It is said about the year 1850, he offered to bet $3000 that he could raise 3000 pounds of tobacco regardless the weather on any acre of ground he might select on his farm or in his neighborhood. Location: From Greenville. Take U.S. Route 62 west to Kentucky Route 189. Turn south onto KY-189 and go about 7 miles to the intersection of KY-189 and KY-853. About a mile past KY-853 on the right will be a gated drive. The gate will be locked and you need permission to enter property (ask at the brick house diagonally east across the road). The cemetery is 600 feet north of KY-189 and near a large pond.
