Sanford McNary and Elizabeth, his wife, sold a plot of land in this locality to Aaron Littlepage, Johnson McNary, and Sanford McNary, Trustees for McNary Chapel AME Zion Church of America, on March 30, 1880. The McNary Community Cemetery was located by the church. [Smith 48]
