Sacred to the Memory of Wallace H_________ who departed this life Oct _____. Also includes footstone: W.H.
This lone monument and its footmarker are all that is remaining of this cemetery. Time has eroded the exterior finish of the sandstone monument leaving only the first name, first letter of last name and the month he died.
As the foostone reveals the initials W H and is a very old stone, a typed used before 1850, a check of census before 1850 shows in the 1830 Muhlenberg County Census a Wallace Hopkins, whose next door neighbor was a Rolly Sullivan, who is buried about ½ mile from this Wallace H______ grave.
Wallace Hopkins also left a will in Muhlenberg County which was probated October 1835. Wallace Hopkins is possibly buried here.
Located near Moorman, Kentucky, on KY-175, about one mile from US 431, on left side of road on the one-time Slinker farm.
