Eaves | Lucelia J. | 12 Apr 1854 | Inscription: Aged 21 yrs-3 mo-29 days
Eaves | Luraney | 1786 | 5 May 1861 | Stone broken. Name, birth day and month are gone. Epitaph indicates a female. Hammers: The birth year 1786 and death date May 5, 1861, can be no other than Luraney Eaves, wife of John S. Eaves Sr. The 1786 date agrees with her age in 1850 & 1860 censuses.
Eaves | William A. | 5 Feb 1811 | 7 Sept 1857 | Includes footstone: W.A.E. Hammers: The birth & death dates were on two separate sections of stone in two different parts of the cemetery. The footstone indicates that William A. Eaves is buried here. By noting that William A. wasn't in the 1860 (wife S.F. is alone with two small children), then this surely are birth and death dates of William A. Eaves. Though this may be bit of a logical jump.
Peters | Malinda | 15 May 1815 | 23 Aug 1865 | Inscription: Wife of D.C. Peters |
Located off Harpes Hill Rd. not far from Unity Cemetery on US-62. At the time that the cemetery was described (1976), the cemetery was in horrible condition. All the stones were broken with pieces buried 3 to 6 inches underground. Stones were in worse condition than any found in the county.
