The City of Greenville is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of vandals who toppled at least 25 headstones at the historic Old Greenville Cemetery on Court Row in Greenville sometime over the weekend.
Assistant Chief Darren Harvey said the city is offering a $500 reward for information resulting in an arrest.
Harvey said Revolutionary War pioneers William Russell and William Campbell are buried in the cemetery.
The two founded Greenville in 1799.
Anyone with information about the vandalism may call the Greenville Police at (270) 338-3133.
