Note: Dorothy Lam first married Asa G. Ezell 6 Mar 1845 in Calloway County, Kentucky. They divorced.

  1. Viola Louisa “Ludy” Jagoe, born 31 Jul 1865; died 16 Apr 1940, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky; buried Jagoe Cemetery, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Married William Henry Greenwood.
  2. Fannie Jagoe, born 23 Jan 1869; died 19 Dec 1892; buried Jagoe Cemetery, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Married 1) George O. Hastings 1 Jan 1885 Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Marriage was annulled. Married 2) James N. Cobb 1 May 1887, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.

In A History of Muhlenberg County, Otto Rothert wrote, “Jacob Jagoe was the father of three sons, Abraham G., Benjamin, and William Jagoe. These three brothers in their day were among the best-known farmers in the lower Pond River country” [96].

Jacob Jagoe's lists his wife and children in his will: To wife Dorothy Jago, daughter Louisa Jago; to George H. Shaver, Fannie J. Shaver, Horace J. Shaver, Joseph Shaver, William Shaver and Benjamin Shaver, children of deceased daughter, Susan Shaver; to my children William H. Jago, Ephraim B. Jago, Abram R. Jago, and Elizabeth Tichenor. Muhlenberg County, Kentucky Will 3, pp. 251-252.

The heirs of Abraham Jagoe (father of Jacob) filed a petition in chancery for 200 acres of land that Abraham owned in Hopkins County, Kentucky. The petition was filed in the June 1840 term of the Hopkins County Circuit Court:

Petition in Chancery of the heirs of Abraham Jagoe, deceased. This day Susan Jagoe, widow and relict of Abraham Jagoe, deceased; Samuel Drake and Susannah his wife (late Jagoe); Abraham Jagoe; Polly Jagoe; Benjamin Jagoe; William Jagoe and Jacob Jagoe, all of whom are over 21 years of age, children and heirs of said Abraham Jagoe deceased, and John Gray, Susannah Gray, Jacob Gray, Elizabeth Gray, David Gray, Eliza Jane Gray and Eney Gray, children and heirs of Nancy Gray, deceased, formerly Jagoe, wife of Jesse Gray, heirs of the said decedent Abraham Jagoe, infants under the age of 21 years, by Jesse Gray, their guardian and next friend, by their attorney produced in Court and filed their petition in chancery, stating that said Abraham Jagoe was the owner of 200 acres of land in Hopkins County on the waters of Pond River, entered, surveyed and patented to R.T. Baylor who conveyed the same to Samuel Gish and Gish to said decedent Abraham Jagoe, that said land was descended to said petitioners as the heirs of said decedent and praying for the sale of said land. Land was sold at public auction at Courthouse door in Madisonville, Kentucky, to Benjamin Jagoe who was “the best bidder” with Sanders Eaves as his security. One third of money to go to Susannah Jagoe the widow of Abraham Jagoe, and the balance to the other heirs of Abraham Jagoe and the part for the Gray heirs to be paid to Jesse Gray, their Guardian. Recorded October 12, 1840.
