Muhlenberg County, KY Court Order Book 1 page 25, May 1801
122. Susanna Weir this day claimed a right to four hundred acres of land on the waters of Log Creek agreeably to entry filed which is granted accordingly.

Pond Creek is the divider between Muhlenberg County and Hopkins and Christian counties. Log Creek is a tributary of Pond Creek located in the northwest part of Muhlenberg County near Millport.

The names of William Weir's children, with the exception of David, come from his will and his son James' will.

David Weir, born 1770, Fishing Creek, Chester Co., SC; died from wounds received in the battle at Eutaw Springs (8 September 1781). Although his mother Susannah obtained his release and brought him home, he died from his wounds. (See Chester Co. Gen. Bul. June 1981.)
