Daugherty-Altmire. Mr. and Mrs. James Daugherty announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Beatrice Daugherty, to Mr. Harry P. Altmire, a son of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Altmire of Central City. The wedding will take place the latter part of September at the St. Joseph Catholic church of Central City.
Personals. Dougherty-Altmire. Miss Beatrice Dougherty and Mr. Harry Altmire were united in marriage Friday evening at 6 o'clock, September 23, at the residence of Miss Margaret Miller on First street, the Rev. Father Braun officiating.
The bridge is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dougherty. The groom is the son of Mrs. W.H. Altmire of this city.
The couple will reside at the home of the bride's parents until the latter part of October. They will make their home in Central City. Their friends wish them happiness and success as they travel the matrimonial launch of life.
Devine-Thompson Wedding. Wedding bells continue to ring merrily at the Presbyterian Manse at Bevier. Oscar Pratt Thompson of Prospect, and Miss Ina B. Devine, were married Saturday by the Rev. J.T. Wade. The bride was beautifully dressed.
Mr. E.W. Dukes was united in marriage to Miss Augusta Tooley on the 12th, inst. Both of the contracting parties live at Rosewood.
Durham-Walling Wedding. Joe Carl Walling, of Central City, and Miss Alma Lee Durham, of Centertown, were united in marriage at the home of the Rev. Mr. Bowes on Saturday, October 7. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Durham of Centertown. Mr. Walling is a son of Mrs. Willie Walling of Central City.
