Central City - Calvin Perkins Snider, 72, died at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville, at 7:55 p.m. Sunday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was a retired farmer born Feb. 27, 1892, in Muhlenberg County.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Challier R. Snider, one son, Ray Calvin Snider, of Clay; two grandchildren; one brother, Noah Snider of Ennis; two sisters, Mrs. Veora Cooley, Madisonville, and Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Louisville.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today [Tuesday] at the Tucker Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. C.W. Duncan, pastor of First Christian Church, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home.
Central City, Ky. - John Liberty Snider, 88, died at his home at Browder at 12 p.m. Friday. He was a retired farmer. Born at Tell City, Ind., May 13, 1863, he was a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church, Browder.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; two sons, Calvin P., Rochester, Noah, Browder; two daughters, Mrs. Veora Cooley, Madison, Tenn., Mrs. Aubrey Anderson, Louisville; four brothers, Oliver, Chandler, Ind., Robert, Tell City, Clarence and Fred, Evansville; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Hicks, Chandler, Ind.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home, the Rev. Drexel Hankins, pastor of Bremen Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Central City.

Drakesboro, Ky. - James Delbert Snodgrass, 67, of Route 1, Drakesboro, died Monday at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. He was born in Muhlenberg County and was a coal miner retired from the P&M Coal Company.
Survivors include his wife, Murine Snodgrass; four sons, James L. Snodgrass of Heevah, Wisc., Donald A. Snodgrass of Drakesboro, Edward O. Snodgrass of Bremen and Terrill Snodgrass of Greenville; a daughter, Carolyn Doss of Pineville; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Edward Snodgrass of Powderly; and a sister, Mrs. J.G. Vincent of Hammond, Ind.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Gary's Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial in Muhlenberg County Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Powderly. Visitation after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Central City - Jesse James Snodgrass, 77, died at his residence at 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
He was born in Ohio County on July 4, 1891. Snodgrass was a retired coal miner.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Olevia Snodgrass; two sons, Arthur Snodgrass of Beaver Dam and Joseph Snodgrass of Central City: five daughters, Mrs. Marie Jones of Rockport, Mrs. Jessie Purson of Louisville, Mrs. Nell Harrison of Lewisburg, Mrs. Stella Faye Douglas of Owensboro, and Mrs. Sherwood Markwell of Central City; 17 grandchildren and 11 great:grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wilson of Louisville and Mrs. Lula Ferguson of Beaver Dam; one half-sister, Mrs. Loletta Wigginson of Rumsey.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Echols General Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. W.O. Curtis, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Central City, Ky. - Mrs. Edna D. Snyder, 75, died in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital early Friday. Born in Logan County, May 31, 1881, she was a member of the Central City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Cecil Kemmings, Vallejo, Calif., Mrs. Ethel Irelan, Otterbein, Ind., Mrs. Elsie Shadowens, Lansing, W. Va., Mrs. Gladys Benoit, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Marie Cobb, Central City; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. D. R. Turner, Louisville, Mrs. James Dukes, Central City.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Tucker Funeral Home by the Rev. Jacob Russell, pastor of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
