Central City - Mrs. Frankie Vanmeter, 56, died in the Louisville General Hospital Monday morning.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elaine Reed of Michigan, Miss Martha Bradley and Miss Gladys Vanmeter, both at home; one son, Denny Wayne Vanmeter also at home, and ten grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of God in Christ in Central City with Bishop D. A. Reed officiating, assisted by Elder Walker. Burial will be in West End Cemetery in Greenville.

Mrs. W.E. Vaughn, 78, Dies July 14
Services were Wednesday, July 16, at 3 p.m. in Central City for Mrs. Gracy Vernon Vaughn, 78, of 509 South First Street. The Rev. Willie Blake officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Vaughn died in Muhlenberg Community Hospital Monday, July 14, at 10 p.m. She was born in Logan County Nov. 15, 1890 and was a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, W.E. Vaughn of Central City; several nieces and nephews.
Charley Vaught, colored, died at 8.30 a.m. last Thursday after an illness of some months of consumption at the home of Frank Vaught and wife, his parents, on north Main street. Deceased was 25 years old, and was a well known young man. Services were held at the AME Zion church at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, and interment followed in the west end cemetery, both services being largely attended.
Vaught, Mrs. Emma Walker, 78, of Central City died Tuesday at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville. Services are 2 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home.
Sacramento - Mrs. Margaret Fentress Vickers, 94, of Sacramento, died early yesterday at Sparks Rest Home, Central City. Born in Muhlenberg County, she was a member of Sacramento Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, John Russell Vickers, Sacramento; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Services 2 p.m. Friday at Sacramento Baptist Church, with the Rev. Hal Shipley officiating. Burial in Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at Tucker Memorial Chapel, Sacramento, after 3 p.m. today.
Cleaton - Mrs. Agnes Loretta Vincent, 74, of Cleaton, was dead on arrival at the Ohio County Hospital late Thursday, after a lingering illness. She was born Oct. 31, 1900 in Muhlenberg County and was a member of Cleaton Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Newt Vincent, Cleaton; two daughters, Mrs. Paul McKinney, Drakesboro and Mrs. Durwood Maple, Rockport, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Edgar Johnson, Browder, and Mrs. Nancy Scarbrough, Central City; two stepsons, Herman and Neal Vincent, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Lola Howard, Louisville, Mrs. Eunice McRoy, Central City, and Mrs. Susie Barrow, Owensboro; three brothers, Oscar Hughes, Island, Roscoe and Chick Hughes, both of Central City; several grandchildren.
Services 2 p.m. Sunday at Cleaton Baptist Church with the Rev. R.D. Mize officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Vincent's death caused by apoplexy
Mrs. Lucian [sic] Vincent died at her home in Bremen January 20 of apoplexy at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 29 days. She had for years been a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist church and was one of the county's best and most revered women. She leaves her husband and one son.
Funeral services were conducted from Mt. Pisgah church by the pastor January 21 and the body was interred in the nearby cemetery. The burial was in charge of E.J. Anderson, of this city.
Milton Vincent, 63 years old, died of hypostatic pneumonia at Nebo December 5. Funeral services were held December 6.
Bremen - Mrs. Monnie Catherine Vincent, 78, of Bremen, died Friday at her home. Born in Hopkins County, she was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Vincent, and several nieces and nephews.
Services 3 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, with the Rev. Gerald Jones, pastor of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, and the Rev. Fred Fox officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peter Vincent, Sr., died of consumption at her home near Mercer at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, after an illness of a year and a half from this dread disease. Interment was at the Vincent graveyard, near Depoy, yesterday afternoon. Her husband and three children survive.
Prominent Bremen citizen succumbs Saturday night
S.H. Vincent dies Saturday after illness of six weeks.
S.H. Vincent, age 53 years, died at his home at Bremen last Saturday night following an illness of six weeks. He first became ill of asthma and this was followed by uremic trouble. He was the oldest of a family of 10 children.
Mr. Vincent was a barber and notary public and a public spirited citizen. He read a great deal and was considered an accurate interpreter of the historical importance of current events. For many years he had been a member of the Baptist church and he was a leading member of the Masonic and Eastern Star lodges as well. Probably no man in that section had more friends than he.
In addition to his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Humphrey, of Bremen, other surviving members of his family are four brothers: J.A. Vincent, Bremen; W.T. Vincent, Bremen; C.D. Vincent, Bremen; and E.J. Vincent, Central City, and five sisters: Mrs. Thomas Merrill, Mrs. Barney Wilkins, Mrs. Joe McIntyre, Mrs. C.A. Ross, and Miss Josephine Vincent, all of Bremen. C.D. Vincent, who is now representing Muhlenberg county in the state legislature, arrived at his bedside, Thursday night, and remained until after the funeral.
Funeral services were conducted at Bethlehem Baptist church at 2:30 o]clock Sunday by Rev. L.P. Whitaker in the presence of an immense congregation of friends of the deceased. Burial was in Shaver]s Chapal cemetery.
Funeral services for W.H. Vincent
81 year old citizen dies at home of son, Irvin Vincent, in Park Street, Sunday.
Funeral services for W.H. Vincent, who died at 7:45 p.m., Sunday, at the home of his son, Irvin Vincent on Park Street, were held at the residence at 12:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Carrol, pastor of the General Baptist Church of the Bluff.
Mr. Vincent was born March 24, 1858. He had been in declining health for some time, but his condition was not considered serious until a few days before his death. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist church of Old Bethel.
Following the funeral services the body was taken to Vincent's cemetery, near Graham, for burial.
Surviving are three sons, Gus Vincent, Tallace Vincent and Irvin Vincent, all of this city.
William T. Vincent Dies in Bremen
Bremen - William Thomas (Uncle Bill) Vincent, 85, died at his home in Bremen at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14.
Mr. Vincent was born in Bremen in 1862 and had lived here all his life. For over 50 years he had been in the lumber business here and for 57 years had been a member of the Bremen Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services were held at the Bethlehem Church with the Rev. T.T. Moore, assisted by the Rev. Hughlan Richey, officiating. The services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Burial was in Shaver's Chapel cemetery. The Masonic rites were said at graveside.
Mr. Vincent is survived by six sons, Giles, Chester and Ralph of Bremen, John H. of Louisville, Homer of Chicago and James of California; four daughters, Miss Helen Vincent and Mrs. Mable Blair of Louisville, and Mrs. Truman May and Mrs. Sherman Clark of Bremen; one brother, E.J. Vincent of Louisville, and 18 grandchildren.
