Yonts, Lady Mae

Greenville - Mrs. Lady Mae Yonts, 64, widow of Burgess Yonts, died at 4:05 a.m. Wednesday in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital.

Born in Todd County, she lived in the Rosewood community near here and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Rust, Route 2, Greenville, and Mrs. Carolyn Hankins, Russellville; two sons, Thomas and Larry Yonts, both of Route 2, Greenville; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Louise McBride, Elkton.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. Victor Phelps. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Gary's Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.

Mr. John Young, well known and for a long time a merchant at Paradise, Ky., died of paralysis a few days ago at Central City.

Young, Laura Grace

Central City - Mrs. Laura Grace Young, 85, died at the home of her foster daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Zibart, Louisville, at 5:10 a.m. Friday.

She was born in Muhlenberg County, Dec. 8, 1879, and was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Naunearl McCoy of Battle Creek, Mich.; one granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Young and Mrs. Mora Richardson, both of Central City.

Funeral services will be held at the Tucker Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. T.M. Howze, pastor of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Young, Mabel McCoy Dukes

Powderly - Mabel Dukes McCoy Young, 86, of Powderly died Sunday Jan. 29, 1995, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born in Stewart County, Tenn.; was a homemaker; and was a member of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church in Central City.

Survivors include a son, Mike Dukes of Central City; four daughters, Ruth Rice of Livermore, Margaret Garris and Merle Garris, both of Louisville, and Flonell Evitts of Southgate, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dollie Jackson of Greenville; and a half sister, Mattie Turner of Central City.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Young, Mary Lola

Caneyville Woman Buried At Mt. Zion Last Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lola Young, who died at her home at Caneyville last Friday, December 2, were held from the Mt. Zion Presbyterian church Sunday, with burial in the church cemetery.

The deceased is survived by four brothers and two sisters.

Young, Minnie Eliza

Central City - Mrs. Minnie Eliza Young, 93, of Central City died at 2:55 p.m. in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville Saturday.

She was born in Muhlenberg County Jan. 22, 1878, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Central City.

Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Fern Shutt of Greenville and a son Paul Young of San Diego, Calif.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Tucker Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. W.R. Cook, assisted by the Rev. A.B. Gross. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

The body is at the Tucker Funeral Home in Central City where friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
