Zackery, Noah Jr.

Noah Zackery, 44, Dies May 17

Noah Zackery, Jr., 44, of Louisville, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

He was a native of Central City and a car man for Kentucky & Indiana Terminal Railroad and was a member of American Legion Post 278.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Smallwood Zackery, and two daughters, Mrs. Norma Schepers and Miss Alecia Ann Zackery of Louisville; two brothers, Dale Zackery of Central City and Leck Zackery of Greenville.

Funeral services were Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery.

Zakery, George

George Zakery, 75, Nelson Creek, Dies

Central City - George Zakery, 75, resident of Nelson Creek community, died in Rives Convalescent Home, Greenville, on Friday afternoon.

Survivors include one daughter, Miss Corkie Zakery, Nelson Creek; one son, Ouffle Zakery, Evansville, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Roy Geary, pastor of the Nelson Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Zaring, Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth (Libby) Zaring, 80, of Central City, died at 7:52 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1.

She was born Aug. 23, 1916 in Muhlenberg County and was a member of First Christian Church of Central City.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Virginia Rich of Central City, several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Allison officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
