Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Nathaniel Brown

Muhlenberg Circuit Court, August Term, 1884

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Plaintiff,
Against } Indictment.
Nathaniel Brown, Defendant.

The Grand Jury of Muhlenberg County in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, accuse Nathaniel Brown of the offense of Unlawfully failing to perform his duty as Surveyor of a highway committed in manner and form as follows, to-wit: That the said Brown did, in the county and State aforesaid, on the 12 day of Augst 1884 and for six months this last past Unlawfully fail to have and keep in repair and good order that part of the Greenville & Madisonville road extending from Lorells to Tudors by failing to fill up holes gullies and crooks in same and the said Brown was at the time Surveyor of said road.

Against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
