In the name of God. John Miller, of Muhlenberg County, State of Ky., being, at this time, in sense and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, I do write this with my own hand this last will and testament.
I give my soul to God, who gave it to me, and after my funeral expense, and all my just debts are paid, that my effects be distributed in the following manner viz.
I desire that there [be] no sale of property of any description to be made, of any kind.
1st I give and bequeath to William Miller the shops and all the tools and all that belongs to it also the land, his horse and saddle and stock is his own reason his farming tools is for the use of the place.
2nd I give to Betsy the clock, the woman's saddle and all the household and kitchen furniture at her command to divide them as she likes to divide them, the boys is beds when cold for Betsy is to have her choice of rooms if a decision is to be made also she is to have her support of the land as long as she lives, all the cash notes and book accounts, William Miller is to collect and to put it into Betsy's. She will take care of it for the good of the house.
I do not know what more to write, but to live in the fear of God.
My grandson George Rickert, if he stays with William Miller till he is of age, I give and bequeath him a horse, saddle and bridle, also wats[?] marks[?].
Henry Vandiver, George Miller, Wmoar[?], David Rickerd, I give to each one dollar.

The foregoing last will and testament of John Miller deceased was exhibited into court and proved to be the last will and testament of said Miller by the oath of Jacob Rickard, a subscribing witness thereto, and the handwriting of said Miller's was proved by the oaths of said Rickard and Sanders Eaves, which will is thereupon ordered to be recorded.
