Henry Green Oates Will

Transcription

Whereas I Henry Green Oates of Muhlenberg County and State of Kentucky being of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and testament and make the following disposition of all the property and effects [sic] I may have or own at my death after all my debts are paid, viz.

For the love and affection I have for my son Green Oates, I give and bequeath all of my property and effects of every kind and I further request that Geo. W. Eaves Jr. will qualify as my executor and see that the provisions of this my last will and testament as to my property may be carried out.

It witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the 1st day of April 1883.

The foregoing last will and testament of Henry Green Oates was this day produced to court and proved to be the act and deed of the said Henry Green Oates by the oaths of G.F. Campbell and Wallace Oates the subscribing witnesses thereto. Whereupon the same was ordered to be recorded which is now accordingly done.
