In the name of God Amen. I, Ralph Vickers, of the county of Muhlenberg & state of Kentucky, calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for men once to die & being now in my perfect mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last will & testament as follows towit.
in the first place, it is my will & desire that all my just debts be paid, and as to the remainder of my estate, wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with, I give & dispose of in the following manner towit.
In the first place, 1st, I do give & bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy Vickers a feather bed & furniture, also two sows & twelve shoals, also one cow during her natural life.
2nd, also to my beloved wife Nancy, I give & bequeath my sorrel horse called Jack after my decease.
3rd, My old blacksmith tools I give to my daughter Nancy.
4th, to my son Jacob I give $1.
5th, to my daughter Polly I give $1.00.
6th, to my son Ralph I give $1.
7th, to my daughter Betsey I give $1.
My farming utensils & other tools I want sold to pay of the small legacies just named & do hereby revoke all other wills and testaments made by me & do declare this my last will & testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 26th day of December 1829.
