I, Edmund Watkins, being in very infirm health, but of sound mind & disposing memory, do make & ordain this my last will & testament.
1st, I will & desire that all my just debts be paid.
2nd, I give & bequeath my whole estate of every description whatever which may remain after the payment of my just debts to my beloved wife Jane during her natural life to be by her used in her own discretion for the benefit of herself & our children, all & each of whom, it is the hereafter solemn prayer of a loving Father, are entreated to be kind, affectionate & obedient to their mother & useful, upright and honorable in all their lives & actions.
3rd, I make and appoint my dear wife Jane & my son Lewis W. Watkins executrix & executor of this my last will & testament, authorising them to proceed & accomplish the administration of the same without giving the usual or any security.
4th, and to facilitate the payment of any debts and better to provide for my family, I hereby empower my wife executrix as aforesaid to sell & convey all or any of my real estate at her own discretion, with full power to make titles thereto.
