S.A. Webb Will

Transcription

I, S.A. Webb, being of sound mind, declare this to be, “by the grace of God,” my last will and testament, viz.: That should I die before my wife Mary E. Webb, all my personal property in Muhlenberg Co., Ky., consisting of two mules, Kate and Jack, one cow and calf, ten hogs, one buggy and harness, one breaking plows, and three 1-horse plows and all farming untesils, also lot of corn and hay, with the exception of one stack of hay, and one hundred bushels of corn, of the present crop, also one lot of furniture as foloows, one dresser, one washstand, one bedstead, and feather bed, and bedding for one bed, one rocker chair, one armchair and six chairs, one centre table, one sewing machine, also one mower and hay rake, shall be the property of my wife Mary E. Webb, to have and hold for her life, and in the event of her death the above property here mentioned shall go to my children or their heirs, and be equally divided between them.

I, S.A. Webb, of Muhlenberg County and state of Kentucky, being of sound mind and of good reasonable sense, do on this the 20th day of April 1904, do bequeath and will at my death all of my money and cash notes to my wife Mary E. Webb, Cornelius Webb, my son, Emer c. Slaton, my daughter, Sarah Frances Baugh, my daughter, Samuel Webb, my grandson, Other Slaton, my grandson, and Maud Slaton, my granddaughter.

First, my indebtedness shall be paid off, the remainder then be equally divided among the parties above named.

I, S.A. Webb, do elect Lee Slaton to execute the provisions of this will.

I, Ed. S. Wood, clerk of the Muhlenberg County court, certifiy that the foregoing two insturments of writing was this day admitted to probate by said Court, as the last will and testament of S.A. Webb decd. and ordered to be recorded. Whereupon the same and this certificate have been duly recorded in my office.
