I, Mary Welch, of Muhlenberg County, Ky., being of sound mind and disposing memory, tho sick I feel it my duty to set all things right and proper as regards my personal estate and money and not having any bodily heirs and being unmarried, I bequeath to my brother Benjamin O. Welch one dollar and to my brother Samuel Welch the remainder portion of these notes that I hold after taking out a sufficiency to pay for tomb stone to my grave, one note of fifty four dollars and one to the amount of ten dollars and one of twelve dollars and also about seven dollars in money.
I also desire and bequeath that my beloved sister Elizabeth Conaway have one bed and bedstead and to my beloved mother Sary Welch two bed quilts and to my sister Catharine Shaver and sister in law Mary A. Welch one bed and the ramainder portion of bedclothes to be divided betwixt them and after my decease and burial expenses are paid, I lastly bequeath to my brother William Welch the remainder portion of the three hundred dollars that may be on hand at my deceased that was to be paid to me by the said William Welch a [?] to will of my father Jesse Welch.
In testimony whereof I have assigned my name and affixed my seal this 18 day of October 1870.

The foregoing last will and testament of Mary Welch decd. was produced to court and proven to be the act and deed of the said Mary Welch decd. by the oath of J.P. Hendrick, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who also testified to the signature of James W. Hendricks, the other subscribing witness thereto. Whereupon the same was ordered to be recorded, which is now accordingly done.
