Genealogy Lookups Last edited 04/19/12 |
The following is a list of resources that we have been made aware of. It is by no means a complete list. If you have or know of resources, please email us at Adair County Lookups with the following information: Title, Author, Publisher, Cost, Where to get it, and If you have the author's permission to do lookups. We will post the resource as soon as possible, and we will post the email address of the volunteer who will do lookups as soon as we receive the author's permission for lookups to be done. |
The USGenWeb Project policy statement on lookups:
USGenWeb, KYGenWeb and Adair County USGenWeb policy prohibits lookup volunteers from infringing on copyrights, so please do not ask for large quantities of information, information on multiple people, or photocopies of pages from the books.
If you see a book listed for lookups that you hold the copyright to and do not want it used, please notify the county coordinator and it will be removed.
Rules for Lookups
1. Please do not ask our volunteers to lookup "general" surnames. Be specific as to who you are looking for! And give the volunteer as much info as you can!
2. Do not ask for more than two names per lookup!
3. If you would like for a volunteer to make copies of documents, please be willing to send them the "cost" of the copies!

Will do free obituary lookups from the Adair County News for the years 1941 through mid-December, 1949. I need the first & last name and at least the month & year of death of the person whose obituary you are requesting. Maximum of two names per request. I'll respond to all lookup requests as soon as possible but none in a hurry. Contact: cyrus1898@gmail.com. |
