Muhlenberg County and State of Kentucky, this my Last Will and Testament.
I give and bequeath to my grandson Joseph John Wells, the son of Joseph John Wells decd., the two hundred acres of land or plantation whereon I now live, to him, his heirs forever.
I also give an bequeath to the said Joseph John Wells and his heirs one hundred acres of land, part of the Williams Tract forever.
I give and bequeath to the said Joseph John Wells forty acres of land, part of my own headright, to him and his heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to the said Joseph John Wells two feather beds, steads and furniture.
I give and bequeath to the said Joseph John Wells one horse called Presto to him and his heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to said Joseph John Wells one negro man slave called Nathan To him and his heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to the said Joseph John Wells one bureau to him and his heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to Martha Drake, the wife of Silas Drake, one negro woman named Jude to her and her heirs forever.
I give & bequeath to Lewrany Drake one negro man called Ellick to her and her heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to Saray Grissom one negro woman called Young Hager to her and her heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to Ann Drake and heirs one negro man called Daniel to her and her heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to Mary Pennington, late Mary Drake, and Cary Pennington, late Cary Prichett, one negro woman Catharine to them and their heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to Mosley R. Wells twenty five dollars to him and his heirs forever. I have also given him 260 acres of land by deed.
My will is that my negro woman called Old Hager Shae stay with my grandson Joseph John Wells and cook for him.
I give to the said Joseph John Wells my stock of hogs.
My will is that all the rest of property shall be sold and equally divided between my children hereafter mentioned towit: Lewrany Drake, Sara Grissom, Ann Drake, Mara Pennington, late Mara Drake, and Caray Pennington late Carey Prichett, my will is that them too shall have one share.
My will is that if my wife Ann Wells lives longer than I do, she shall have and possess all my property during her natural life, then for the said to go to them it is divided two [sic]. Septr. the 10th day 1850
I appoint Mosely Drake and Joseph John Wells my executors.

The foregoing last will and testament of Micagah Wells, deceased, was exhibited into court & proved to be the act & deed of the said Micagah Wells by the oaths of William Drake, Charles F. Wing & Wm. H.C. Wing, the subscribing witnesses thereto, and motion being made to record the same & objection thereto being made, said motion was continued til the next Court, and at the November County Court 1851 same will was again presented to the Court & the Court being more fully advised from the argument of Counsel & the testimony introduced, it is ordered that said will be recorded
