Paul Brown
was born in 1904 in Rockwood, Tennessee. He moved with his family (B.F.
Brown) to
Bon Jellico in 1915. He worked in the mines
at Bon Jellico, Black Star, and High Splint most of his life. He was a machine
man.
He married
Ruth Moore in 1923. She and their child died in childbirth in 1925. Paul
stayed
single
for nearly 20 years. He married Pearl Jones from
Corbin in 1940. Pearl and Paul had no children.
Paul died
in Corbin in 1982, where he and Pearl lived after leaving Harlan County. Back Next
