Tom Moore,
son of Pres Moore, was born in 1909 and married Easter Mays. Tom and Easter
moved
from Bon Jellico
to Black Star, where he
worked most of his life at the tipple as tipple boss. After the Alva Mines
at Black Star closed, he lived in Harlan where he worked in the Harlan County
sheriff’s office the last years of his life.
