Lewis Owens, son of James Owens, was born 1905. He married a Lay and moved to Corbin, Kentucky where he owned Owens and Lay filling station. He died in the fall of 1977.

    His son R. L. Owens and wife Hettie owned and operated Owen Tire and Muffler shop in Corbin.
