Bon Jellico, Kentucky School Memories
(From Edna Cox Moses, 1982)

The Cox family moved to Bon in 1919. My teachers were Bryan Johnson and Bea Steiner, who later married Patrick West. “I went to my first box supper at Bon to help the school. I was too young but Mother was a good cook; she made pies and cakes for the girls for Bon Suppers. I remember the pot bellied stove and drawing water from a well at school.”
