I am trying to find living relatives of this Civil War veteran. The reason I am looking for more info on him is that I have his 1862 Gwynn and Campbell carbine with his name carved into the stock and a fair amount of blood on it. I'd love to know more about him and the source of his injuries and thought maybe there was family there that might be interested in sharing any family history. He enlisted 8/9/62 and mustered out 9/17/63. He married Mary Ann Brown 1/12/64 in Bourbon Co. He was a carpenter, had 11 children. He applied for a pension as a wounded veteran yet a later census does not list him as such. The last living relative I am aware of was Mary Ida Owsley Linville who laid a gravestone in 2005.
