The service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Catholic Church of the Annunciation

Margie Woods, 84, South Main Street, retired budget analyst at the Lexington-Bluegrass Army Depot, Avon Activity, died Sunday, September 21, 2008. She was born June 21, 1924 in Paris, daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret Schwartz Woods, a graduate of Paris High School, and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation where she was a member of the choir. Margie is survived by a brother, Edwin A. (Mollie) Woods, Paris; four nieces, Betty Ann (Jerry) Allen, Paris, J.J. Woods, Mt. Sterling, Susie Diamond, Mt. Sterling, Anita Kay (Ferrell) Bailey, Mt. Sterling; and three nephews, Steven (Barbara) Fightmaster, Paris, Joey (Joyce) Fightmaster, TN, and Tommy (Jenny) Woods, Mt. Sterling. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anita Fightmaster Jennings, Betty Rice; and a brother, Jack Woods. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation by Rev. John Curtis with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tommy Woods, Josh Fightmaster, Steve Fightmaster, Joey Fightmaster, Jerry Allen, and Donal Isaac. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Catholic Church of the Annunciation.
