 The following is a list of resources that I have been made aware of. It is by no means a complete list. If you have or know of resources, please email me with the following information: Title, Author, Publisher, Cost, Where to get it, and If you have the author's permission to do lookups. I will post the resource as soon as possible. I will post the email address of the volunteer who will do lookups as soon as I receive the author's permission for lookups to be done.

The USGenWeb Project policy statement on lookups:

USGenWeb, KYGenWeb and Henry County USGenWeb policy prohibits lookup volunteers from infringing on copyrights, so please do not ask for large quantities of information, information on multiple people, or photocopies of pages from the books. If you see a book listed for lookups that you hold the copyright to and do not want it used, please notify the county coordinator and it will be removed.

Rules for Lookups

1. Please do not ask our volunteers to lookup "general" surnames. Be specific as to who you are looking for!  And give the volunteer as much info as you can!

2. Do not ask for more than two names per lookup!

3. If you would like for a volunteer to make copies of documents, please be willing to send them the "cost" of the copies!

NEW! Genealogy Look Up Forum

Our genealogy volunteers are willing to do research look ups that are available to them. The genealogy look ups are "FREE OF CHARGE". Volunteers may ask for reimbursement charges for copies, postage and travel expenses. Please Allow 5 - 10 days for your volunteer(s) to answer your look up request. We do get lots of people needing "Look Up Requests", so please be patient while they work quickly on them.

Life Begins at Eighty. This book contains poetry written by Mr. Johnston as well as musings of his growing up and growing old in Henry County. He mentions quite a lot of names and places in Henry County. Mr. Johnson states that he was born on May 31, 1875 in Lockport, Ky to Captain I. N. Johnston, so the dates would be from that point onward. Joe E. The Wainscott Family and Wainscott Cousins Sue Streett Sue Streett The Wainscott Family book has about 275 pages and costs $23. "Wainscott Cousins" is a companion book. It includes information on 6 of the families which most often intermarried with Wainscotts. Those families were Baker, Elrod, Roberts, Stringfellow, Razor, & McMains.
