I, Jacob C. Kittinger, a resident of the town of Greenville, Kentucky, do make this my last will and testament, devise, bequeath and dispose of all my property and estate, real, personal and mixed, as follows:
First, To my beloved wife Montie M. Kittinger as Trustee in Trust for the purpose and uses and with the powers hereinafter expressed, I devise my house and lot situated in said town of Greenville and now occupied by me as my homestead, the same conveyed to me by Lewis Reno & wife. My said wife as such Trustee and as executrix of this my last will and testament is hereby directed and empowered to sell said house and lot on such reasonable terms as she may decide and convey the same to the pruchaser by a good and sufficient deed of conveyance and she is hereby directed to pay my just debts and burial expenses with the proceeds of said sale and to invest the residue of said proceeds in a small farm or suitable home for herself during her life or widowhood and our children, namely Romney M. Kittinger, Bearley R. Kittinger, Forest B. Kittinger, Abbey T. Kittinger, Fava V. Kittinger and a baby boy (not named).
She the mother of my said children to have control of such farm or home during her life or widowhood for the use of herself and the said children, who may live with her there. On the death of my said wife or in case of her second marriage her control of and interest in such farm or home shall cease. Subject to such controla nd interest of my said wife such farm or home shall be the property and estate of my said children.
Second, All my personalty shall be set apart to my said wife and children according to law.
Third, My said wife Montie M. Kittinger is hereby constituted executrix of this my last will and testament, she to qualify as such executrix without bond or security.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed this writing or my last will and testament with my name in the presence of […blank…] my chosen witnesses who subscribed the same as such witnesses in my presence on the 9” day of September 1897.

The foregoing last will and testament of Jacob C. Kittinger, decd., was produced in open court on the date aforesaid and proven to be the act and deed of said decedent by the oaths of W.E. Roark and G.B. McDonald, the two subscribing witnesses thereto. Whereupon the same is adjudged to be the last will and testament of said decedent and ordered to be recorded which is now done according to law.
