I, Jonathan Kittinger, of the county of Muhlenberg & state of Kentucky, being sound in mind & of dispoing memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of life & being sick, feel desrious to set all things right while I have strength & capacity so to do, publish this my last will & testament towit.
First, it's my will that all of my just debts & funeral expenses be first paid.
Secondly, I will and bequeath to my two sons, namely Perry Kittinger & Townes Kittinger, all of my landed estate, all of my stock & farming utensils that may be in my possession at my death.
Third, I will and bequeath to my three other sons, namely Asher Kittinger, Eckles Kittinger & Otis Kittinger, five dollars each to be paid out of my estate after my death. December the 26, 1896.

The foregoing last will and testament of Jonathan Kittinger, deceased, was on the 22 day of February 1897, produced in open court and proven to be the act and deed of said decedent by the oath of Leonard S. Kittinger, one of the subscribing witnesses thereo, and on the 20 day of March 1897 was again produced to Court and proven to be the act and deed of said decedent by the oath of W.H. Grundy, the other subscribing witness thereto. Whereupon the same is adjudged to be the last will and testament of said decedent and ordered to be recorded which is now done accordingly.
